Guiseppe Verdi’s monumental opera Aida! The unhappy love story between the Ethiopian princess Aida - abducted as a child to the banks of the Nile to be a slave - and the Egyptian commander Radames enthralled the audience at its premiere in 1871 in Cairo. Since then Aida has become one of the most popular and most-produced works in the operatic canon, so why not come and enjoy a new highlight at the Bregenz Festival.
