There are very many good winemakers in Austria and it is not easy for newcomers to establish themselves there. The BURG Hotel is therefore organizing a get-together for young Austrian winemakers in summer 2012 in order to help them do so. The annual meeting is of particular importance to the Lucian family on account of their great wine tradition. By bringing together talented wine-growers of the younger generation for the mutual exchange of experience and knowledge, we seek to raise the public awareness and the quality of their wines.

- winemakers introduce themselves individually (company – size – philosophy)
- they dine together with sommeliers and feature writers
- wine-tasting session with their wines

Grand tasting session of the makers' wines
From 2 p.m.:
- each winemaker presents 2 vintages per wine
(barrel sample, 2011 or older)
- the wines are tasted blind and rated using a 100 point system
- only the best red and white wine will be awarded a prize
- dinner together with re-tasting and public discussion
