Is the Burg in Oberlech a children’s hotel? Families have certainly always been welcome at the Burg. Everyone will find their way to enjoy their holiday – whether young or old. Sometimes it’s family time. Sometimes it’s all kids together. The free childcare and the youth playroom are open exclusively to the youngsters.

Opening hours & age groups

The “Kids’ Club” is a play and creative zone for children from 3 to 14 years. Here they can play, laugh, craft. Or they can go hiking and climbing outside with our childcare staff in summer. In winter we plunge into the winter-white sea of snowflakes together. This is how we win the hearts of the kids.

“Kids’ Club” summer opening hours:
Sunday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
“Kids’ Club” winter opening hours:
Sunday to Friday 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and from 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.

World of teens and kids

Let’s face it, sometimes a break from the parents does you good. While they chill in the wellness area, teens and kids relax in their own way in the youth playroom. Fancy a game? Ready yourselves for a battle of table football or table tennis.

In the children’s room, imagination meets the desire to play and discover. Children love to try things out here.

Fancy skiing? The ski school meeting point and the piste are right on the doorstep.

Summer in Lech with children

Holidays at last! Lech appeals with plenty of nature and action. Choose what suits you and your children: explore Alpine plants on the way to our Kriegeralpe – and then decide on your best discovery over an ice cream. Discover the gypsum holes in the nature reserve around Oberlech. Or awaken the teenagers’ thirst for adventure with fun sports. How about a climbing garden or canyoning? Our tip: the “My Lech Card” for active holidaymakers is free for children up to 14 years.

Winter at Arlberg with children

One thing is certain: your family holiday in Austria high above the clouds of Lech promises guaranteed snow. Build fantastic snow castles in car-free Oberlech or test yourself on the piste at the family day. Children up to the age of seven can ski with the snowman card as a ski pass for only €10 per season. Learning to control two skis for the first time in a children’s skiing course? Sure! The ski school is directly opposite the Burg. On top of that, the Oberlech children’s club treats snow and ski babies (from the age of two) with a practice area, tubing tracks and professional childcare. After the slopes, how about a round in the indoor pool at the family hotel? Let’s go!

There are numerous paths around Oberlech that are easy to navigate with a pushchair. In summer, a particularly beautiful walk with a forest nature trail leads to Libellensee lake - walking time approx. 30 minutes. Another popular route is the Lechuferweg, a flat loop trail of around one hour that follows the Lech river and offers ideal spots for a family picnic. Both tours are easy to navigate and perfect for family trips with little ones.
