Lech-Zürs am Arlberg is a real dream paradise for cross-country skiing. Some 30 km of varied cross-country trails await cross-country fans in Lech and Zürs.

Some ideally prepared cross-country trails and skating routes are also available for leisure skiers and professionals to enjoy. The cross-country routes are based at the heart of the fascinating Austrian Alps in Europe and can be used for free throughout the season.

Cross-country routes to suit every taste

Cross-country fans in Lech can explore both classic and skating routes. This provides a varied range of cross-country trails with ideally prepared routes which offer both beginners and professionals some fantastic moments out in the exceptional natural landscape.

The Sonnen Höhenloipe Gaisbühel mountain trail in Oberlech is a real insider’s tip and is only a few minutes from the Burg Hotel. This trail is always in the sun and along the route, you can savour some attractive landscapes and enhance your stamina. 

You can also choose from the new 2 km Spullerswaldweg route and 2.8 km route from Lech to Zug.

From Zug you can follow the 3.5 km cross-country trail to Älpele which also serves as a starting point for the 8 km circular route via Tannläger

For those winter sports fans who prefer a faster route, there are skating trails available between Zug and Älpele.

Cross-country courses & training in Lech

Those who have not yet caught the cross-country bug or who are putting on cross-country skis for the first time can learn the right technique from specially trained cross-country instructors. The Skischule Lech and Skischule Zürs ski schools offer cross-country lessons for beginners, experienced skiers and professionals.

Equipment can also be hired out in Lech and Oberlech so there is nothing stopping you from enjoying your first cross-country tour through the snowy mountains of Arlberg.
