The Lech district of Zug is home to a carefully planned 9-hole course and practice area with a putting green and chipping green. The PAR 66 site extends over 19 ha and is suitable for beginners as well as advanced golfers and experts. With fairways at 1,500m above sea level, the Lech golf course is the highest altitude golf course in Austria.
Overview of the 9-hole course in Lech/Zug
The golf course weaves its way along both sides of the Lech river in the Zugertal valley and adapts perfectly to the natural setting. It initially runs uphill towards Zugertobel beneath the ‘Rote Wand’ before running along the river Lech to the Stierlochbach. Once you pass the fish pond, you are almost back to the start.

The Berghof practice area is located in the centre of Lech. Here there is a 3-hole course with 9 tee-off points and a chipping and pitching area with a sand bunker.
Beginners can complete a golf proficiency certificate during which they will learn about golf etiquette, rules, safety on the golf course and much more.
Advanced golfers can constantly improve their swing using a video analysis or attend one of the courses at the Lech Golf School. Golf therefore becomes a truly unique experience for all fans of this sport – not least thanks to the special location and terrain.
