Whether in a picturesque mountain lake, cool mountain stream or beautiful forest swimming pool – the Lech am Arlberg holiday region also offers lots of swimming opportunities for bathing fans.
Plus the Burg Hotel also offers another rain-proof alternative with its indoor pool - ideal for bad weather and winter.
Swimming at the Burg Hotel Oberlech
The hotel’s own indoor pool in the 1,200 m² well-being area of the Burg Hotel invites bathing fans to dive into the soothing warm waters and swim some lengths in comfort.
Those who prefer more peace and quiet can relax in the large whirlpool and children can submerse themselves in 30°C warm water in their own children’s pool, complete with a slide.
Bathing in Lech & the surrounding area
Lech and the surrounding area offer numerous options for those who enjoy swimming in the fresh air.
Lech forest pool
The Lech forest pool with 25 degree warm water is located right by the river Lech in the magnificent mountain landscape. A small rocky island, exciting water slide, large children’s pool and romantic sunbathing area make this pool a little experience in itself at the heart of the Alps.
Even diving is possible on the Arlberg. Children can try out a diver tasting session and adults have the opportunity to acquire their PADI diving certificate.
Away from the bathing fun, the forest pool offers two beautifully located clay tennis courts and a beach volleyball clay court.
The Lech swimming pool is open from 9:30 am to 7 pm in good weather during the summer season. Admission is free with the Lech Card.
Bathing in a mountain stream with crystal-clear water
The numerous mountain waters around Lech are ideal for a relaxing day’s bathing. The Spullersee and Formarinsee lakes are particularly suited to combining with a family excursion. Both are easily accessible and from May to September offer a refreshing place to cool down on hot summer’s days for bathing fans (provided they are not sensitive to the cold!) The Lechbach stream is also perfect for a refreshing dip at some attractive spots and is not just reserved for anglers.
White water swimming between Lech and Warth
White water swimming is ideal for visitors seeking a special swimming challenge. A beautiful gorge of crystal-clear water and beauty extends over a length of over 6 km between Lech and Warth. Holidaymakers can swim safely along the white water river accompanied by a state certified canyoning and mountain guide and equipped with a wetsuit and lifejacket. Swimming, sliding and drifting along – you can do it all here!
4-star superior Burg Hotel Oberlech for water babies
