From 2016 onwards Lech Zürs am Arlberg will be adding a new 9-hole golf course to its summer activities for sophisticated active holidaymakers. The topping-off ceremony for the club house took place before the first snow this year and from July 2016 golfers will be able to tee off in front of magnificent mountain scenery.
The bunkers have been sculpted, the grass has been sown. And a fountain plays happily in the pond next to the hay barn at the 9th hole. The golf course in Lech is getting its finish and in early July the first birdies can be sunk.
Highest golf course in Austria
The greens are situated at 1,500 metres above sea level, making it the highest golf course in Austria. Its special challenge is the river Lech, which emerges from its source nearby and has to be played across several times.
