There are lots of new features this winter! The new Oberlech cable car provides guests with an even more comfortable journey directly to our hotel and a total of five new mountain railways make skiing here even more fun – the entire ski resort on the Arlberg is now connected!
The Lech – Oberlech cable car has been operating for six decades and has played a key role over the years. In winter, this is the most important form of transport in traffic-free Oberlech and transports guests and their luggage. In summer, it provides hikers with access to our beautiful hiking region. The cable car has undergone three phases of modernisation – in 1958, 1978 and 1995. On 17 April of this year, it finished operation again. Since then, it has been undergoing renovation and is back in operation for the winter season 2016/17.
Even more comfortable
The new two-track aerial tramway with a transportation capacity of 2 x 80 people transports our guests to the heart of our ski resort in even greater comfort and connects with our existing tunnel system which links the hotels of Oberlech underground. The station buildings have also been fully renovated.
The legend of the Arlberg
Another dream will come true here this winter: the entire ski resort on the Arlberg is now interlinked, providing guests with the ultimate skiing enjoyment over 305 km of pistes and 200 km of deep snow descents. A total of five new mountain railways close the circle and link Lech Zürs, St.Christoph, St.Anton, Stuben and Warth- Schröcken.
The heart of the new ski resort links is the new Flexenbahn cableway which extends over 1.8 km from Rauz to the Trittkopf middle station from Zürs. Also new are the Trittkopfbahn I and Trittkopfbahn II gondolas high up to the famous Trittkopf. And the Albonabahn II chair lift now runs from Rauz to the Albona mountain station and into the Stuben ski resort. Our guests can track down the legend of the Arlberg and set out on the ‘Run of Fame’ – a 65 km long ski trail which starts from right outside our hotel.
