From 29 March until 13 April 2020, the legendary Tanzcafé Arlberg Music Festival will take place in and around Lech am Arlberg for the eighth time, with dancing, singing and laughing – and the BURG in Oberlech joins in the fun.
Due to the current situation concerning the spread of the Covid-19 virus and on the basis of the Epidemic Law of the state, the winter season 19/20 in Vorarlberg ends unscheduled on 16. March.
When the Winter Countdown begins on the Arlberg and spring comes knocking at the door, the annual dance fever breaks out in Lech Zürs: it's time for the Tanzcafé Arlberg Music Festival! As before, 2020 will again see whole days of jazz, swing, boogie-woogie and rock 'n' roll. The absolute highlight? Well, if you ask us, we'd have to say it's the party here at the Burg Hotel!
Wellness has always stood for relaxation, recuperation and well-being at the Burg Hotel. Now the Lucian Family has remodelled, refurbished and extended. Guests at the 4-star superior hotel can immerse themselves in the climate of the Himalayas as and when they wish, and even build snowmen on the Arlberg in summer.
Win an evening meal with the Norwegian ski racer Henrik Kristoffersen at the Burg Hotel Oberlech am Arlberg.
He has already participated in several Winter Olympics and countless world championships. His skills have been recognised with silver, gold and bronze medals. Slalom and Giant Slalom are two of his best disciplines. We're talking about Henrik Kristoffersen.
And together with the glove manufacturer Reusch, we are offering you the chance to spend some time with the successful winter sportsman here at the BURG. Meet the man himself, ask him some questions, receive some individual tips – and enjoy our culinary highlights at the same time.
The walk-in work of art by James Turrell on the Arlberg
A plain room, an elliptical opening, a largely underground walk-in work of art. Right in the middle of Lech, just a few minutes from the BURG, is the Vorarlberg's latest attraction. And for it, we owe a debt of thanks to none other than the internationally renowned American artist James Turrell. He has created a very special spot here, at 1780 metres above sea level. The idea behind it? "Seeing yourself seeing."
Now we can admit it: we can't help being a little bit proud.
This year, a season is drawing to a close that began with a very special award for the Arlberg: right on time for the start of the 2017/2018 winter season, Skigebiete-Test.de named the ten best skiing regions in the world. The crème de la crème of winter sports were chosen from over 250 ski resorts, closely inspected and tested in ten categories. The result: with a score of 90 out of a possible 100 points, Ski Arlberg won the title ahead of Zermatt and Serfaus Fiss Ladis.
The call of the "wihte gold" - it can already be heard...
The late summer just started and winter is already luring with its call for a white splendour – a preview.
We in Lech-Zürs not only have the largest contiguous ski resort in Austria – we are also looking back to a record winter.
It is at least record-breaking when we can count already 75 good weather days during the first 100 days of the season.
With the new “Run of Fame” – 65 kilometre skiing route and 18’000 metres in altitude – the myth of Arlberg will be further told. Klaus Huber, Manager of Ski Arlberg Pool West and initiator of the “Run of Fame” talks about the pioneers of Alpine skiing and their legacy.
Frank and Maria enjoy their dream holiday on the Arlberg
Over the course of a year, a film and photo team of 10 people have been making a film and taking new series of photos for our hotel. The images show how Frank and Maria enjoy their dream holiday on the Arlberg. And the experiences of the film crew show how the Burg dreams came true for them too.
